Everglades Re-Entry Center

Everglades Re-Entry Center is designed to provide inmate training and education for Re-Entry into society.

The facilities occupies approximately 18 acres with approximately 6 acres inside the security fence.

The facility consists of the following buildings and structures:

  1. Support Building (37,034 S.F.) housing the functions of Gen. and Security administration, Visitors Pavilion, Chapel, Library, Education and Instruction Administration, Five Classrooms, One Computer Lab, Two Vocational Labs, Food Service Facility with Seating for 106 and a laundry facility.
  2. Three Open Bay Dorms (12,555 S.F. Ea.) each housing 144 beds for a total of 432. Each Dorm includes two meeting rooms with a folding panel wall which allows the creation of four meeting rooms. The meeting rooms or for use by counselors holding group counseling sessions.
  3. Two inmate weather shelters, One visitors weather shelter, two outdoor toilet facilities, Barbershop and Canteen, one hard surface outdoor recreation/exercise pad and one grassed recreation field.
  4. One 60'x70' fenced vehicle sallyport, with a "shakedown" building for searching incoming inmates.
  5. One Gatehouse which controls all entry to and from the facility.
  6. One Building housing the backup generator.
  7. Parking for Staff and Visitors

The facilities occupies approximately 30 acres with approximately 7 acres inside the security fence.

The facility consists of the following buildings and structures:
